A Wild Sheep Chase

First off, I was extremely confused by this book. There were so many details included that were never followed up on, and many plot lines seemed to just drop off. At first I was not sure what to pay attention to and what to disregard. After I let go of my expectations of how the story should be structured, I found the book a lot more enjoyable. Although we never learn his name, I felt very close to the protagonist. I think the author did a very good job of expressing the protagonist's mood and thoughts on things without saying too much. Once I got deeper into the novel the random flashbacks and tangents seemed to have more of a purpose. As I learned more about who the kind of person the main character was, I think that some of those random details helped to clarify his emotional position as the story went on. I would rate it a 6/10.
